Church concert to aid Tsunami victimsFormer Blessed Sacrament cantor to direct the show

Scarola was on the directing staff at The Metropolitan Opera for five seasons and is currently on the directing staff at New York City Opera.
      Using his familiarity with all facets of the performing arts world, Scarola has enlisted the talents of several of his friends and colleagues from the music world, most notably from the rosters of The Metropolitan Opera and New York City Opera. Scheduled to appear at press time are: Carol Meyer, Hanan Alattar, Angela Fout, Kathryn Friest, Anna Vikre, Jason Currie, Ryan Allan, Mark Risinger, Kyle Pfortmiller, Rod Nelman and Peter Volpe. The musical director will be Elizabeth Hastings.
      The performance will take place at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 201 North Central Ave. Tickets will be sold in advance and at the door, and are $20 for adults and $10 for seniors, students and children. One hundred percent of the money raised through ticket sales will be given directly to relief efforts; additional donations will be graciously accepted.
