A Long Beach city bus collided with a school bus early Wednesday morning near the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and East Broadway in Long Beach.
City Manager Charles Theofan said that the crash occurred at 7:37 a.m. and that no one was injured.
Dr. Randie Berger, deputy superintendent of schools, said that there were 31 high school students on the school bus, adding that none of the students or drivers were injured.
“The city bus was pulling out of a bus stop and our bus was passing it,” Berger said. “The left mirror on the city bus hit the right windshield of the school bus.”
She explained that parents of students were immediately contacted and informed about the incident, which she said was not serious. Students, she said, were picked up by another school bus, and brought back to school.
“The school nurse checked out all the students when they arrived back at the school,” Berger said. “It was nothing serious at all.”
