Stroke prevention screenings Valley Stream's Holy Name of Mary Church will be hosting stroke prevention screenings sponsored by Precision Screening Plus, Monday, March 7, from 11:30 a.m. to

7:30 p.m. Precision Screening offers clients immediate results and pictures. Licensed ultrasound technologists will perform non-invasive, painless extras to determine a patient's risk for stroke, aneurysm, peripheral vascular disease and osteoporosis. Rock on! East Rockaway High School will present its 69th annual Rock Rivalry on Friday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Harry Bunting Auditorium of East Rockaway High School. ERHS '69 reunion An East

Rockaway Class of 1969 reunion weekend is planned for Friday, May 13 - Sunday, May 15. Plans include a Friday night casual get-together at an area establishment, Saturday night Reunion Dinner at Best Western in Rockville Centre, and Sunday Brunch at a local restaurant. Good under pressure? All persons interested in attending the training course for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), to be hosted by East Rockaway High School, are asked to call the ERHS Athletic Department at (516) 887-8300, ext. 445. Tot time Share half an hour of stories, songs, fingerplays and crafts. Session on-going until March 16. This special program is for children ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years old attending with a caregiver. You may sign up for the 10:15 a.m. or 11 a.m. session. Proof of age is required.

Picture book time Pre-schoolers will share 45 minutes of stories, songs, fingerplays and crafts. Sessions are held Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. or Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. Remaining sessions are Tuesday, March 15 and Thursday, March 17. The program is open to children 3 1/2 to 5-years-old. Proof of age is required.
