Oceanside Library Events
Digital art expo at library
Artist Vesna Mison will present her digital art exhibit "Metamorphosis Revisited" at the Oceanside Library through the month of October.
In her collection of digital montages, Mison has created a virtual ecosystem with an imaginary assortment of new plant species. These otherworldly plants, beautiful and mysterious, seem to have taken over in an almost surreal growth pattern as they flourish and seduce the viewer through their bright colors, large blossoms and ripe fruits.
Mison achieves her vision by applying the traditional techniques of shooting, film development and photo printing, then scanning the images into Photoshop and manipulating them with such computer tools as brushes, filters, pens and spray cans.
