Prescription info Nassau County Comptroller Howard Weitzman will distribute information about the new NassauRx prescription discount card at the Lynbrook Long Island Rail Road station on Monday, August 2, from 7 a.m. - 8 a.m. The NassauRx card is a free card that offers Nassau County residents a discount on retail prices for prescription medication. There are no age or income restrictions.
Amazing feet The Lynbrook/East Rockaway Soccer Club will hold a community summer camp Aug. 9 - 13 for children 4-years -old and up. The camp is open to boys and girls. Micro camp (ages 4 - 6) will be held from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. and camp for 7-year-olds and up will be held from 9 a.m. - noon at Greis Park. Summer fun bargain Visit both the Long Island Children's Museum (LICM) and its neighbor, the Cradle of Aviation in Garden City, any day in July and save money on admission. Hoop dreams are alive and well at the East Rockaway John Street Complex. Beginning July and running Monday through Saturday nights until August 31, the courts at the complex will be open for basketball and volleyball from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Adult supervision will be provided at all times and use of the courts is free.
