The reason may elude us for a time, but every person who experiences loss has a choice to learn the lessons to grow and move on to a new level of fulfillment and peace. Join Constance Hallinan Lagan on Wednesday, June 9 at 7:15 p.m. for a seminar on making peace with the past. Seminar will conclude with a guided visualization meditation.
Doo Wop 50s Tour. On Thursday, June 17, hop on the Doo Wop bus to experience the wet 'n wild, never mild, pastels & neons of the 1950s Elvis-Era architecture of Wildwood, NJ. A delicious luncheon served at the waterfront Boat House Restaurant plus a cruise aboard the paddle wheeler, "Delta Lady." Antiques Primer. Join Eddie Costello for his two-part series, Antiques Primer 101-1 and 101-2. Part 1 is on Saturday, May 22 at 11 a.m., and Part 2 is on Saturday, May 29 at 11 a.m. Learn how to identify and evaluate Depression-era glass, art glass, crystal, porcelain, book, manuscripts, celebrity signatures, rugs and toys. Films. On Wednesday, June 30 at 6:30 p.m., the library will show an independent film and a short film. The independent film, "The Middle of the World," by Vincent Amorim is based on a true story and follows a family of seven on a 2,000-mile journey across Brazil on bicycle. In Portuguese with English subtitles. The short film, "The Ecology of Love," by Brin Hill, will be shown afterwards. Registration begins on June 21.
