Long Island Artists Habitats will feature a video lecture by Alexandra Karafinas which will take viewers into the eclectic homes of some of Long Island's talented artists, authors, designers and architects. The program is at the Lakeview Library in Rockville Centre on April 10 at 7:30 p.m.
The Interfaith Institute offered by Temple Emanu-El of Long Beach is a program open to all interfaith relationships. Workshops will be held twice a month with no attendance requirements. Meetings are Mar. 24, Apr. 15, Apr. 22, and May 6.
Start the new year right and take a class at the Long Beach Adult Learning Center at 75 East Walnut St. in Long Beach. The center offers classes in basic education, English as a second language, citizenship preparation, pronunciation and accent reduction, English at home and computer education. Safe Sitter Program, offered by LBMC, takes place on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is a one-day seminar for youths age 11 to 13, designed to teach the basics of childcare and safety. Bereavement Support On Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:30 P.M. in Conference Room C at Long Beach Medical Center. The Medical Center's Counseling Center will offer a weekly bereavement support group for individuals dealing with the death of a family member or loved one. AARP free tax aide for people over 60 at the library on Mondays through April 12 at 12:30 p.m.

P.A.C.E. Members of the Barry and Florence Friedberg JCC, Long Beach Division 310 National Blvd., Long Beach enjoy the benefits of music and dance through our P.A.C.E program. P.A.C.E, People with Arthritis Can Dance, helps those with arthritis enjoy movement and hopefully helps to alleviate some of the stiffness that comes with arthritis. Lisa Wisel, MS, ADTR, CLM, a registered Dance/Movement therapist, leads the class. The class meets every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
