The 20th Annual Bellmore Family Street Festival is here! This annual event, located at the Bellmore Long Island Rail Road station at Sunrise Highway., is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores and will feature a Safari Adventure theme this year. The carnival will run from Thursday, Sept. 14 through Sunday, Sept. 17. The street fair will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16 and 17, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A special crafts fair, featuring more than150 vendors, and a kids expo will also be held. Sportsplex programs. An indoor multi-sports program begins this week at Sportsplex at 1329 Newbridge Road in Bellmore. Sports include baseball, basketball, lacrosse, football, hockey and soccer. Pizza fund-raiser.
