2001 Flu Immunization program provides the influenza vaccine to senior citizen (age 60 and over) free-of-charge, as well as the pneumococcal vaccine if requested, at Baldwin Senior Center, 1810 Grand Avenue. The Island Scribes are presenting an exhibit of calligraphic art entitled "Viva La Plume 2001" during the month of October.

Thanksgiving wreath craft Craftsperson Julianne Gaudioso will bring all of the supplies needed for this class including an oval twig wreath and all of the decorations. Registration begins in-person on Monday, October 15. A non-refundable materials fee of $12 per person is due at the time of registration.

Financial Aid Night for high school juniors, seniors and their families. A representative from Adelphi University will give a step-by-step presentation on the financial aid process covering the financial aid form, grants and scholarships. Register beginning October 29.

Thanksgiving 101 Join executive chef and Baldwin resident Barbara Sheridan of the "Look Who's Cooking" gourmet school in Oyster Bay as she teaches how to make the perfect Thanksgiving dinner. Registration begins on Tuesday, October 30.

An International Cabaret with Shelly Shields is being presented at the library. Tickets are available starting Sunday, October 21. Limit to 4 tickets per family.

Homework center is open to children in grades 4-6 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4-7 p.m. Help is available for remedial as well as for students who want to get better grades.
