Free 911 Cell Phones are available for domestic violence victims, provided by the Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence. These phones, donated for recycling by the community, allow users to summon help by making an immediate 911 contact if alarmed or confronted by someone violating an order of protection. There is no charge for placing a 911 call. Phones are available free of charge by calling the domestic/dating violence hotline at 542-0404 between the hours of 9 and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
