'Mame' as a benefit for the Rosa Lee Young Childhood Center of Rockville Centre will be held at Molloy College's Bays Theatre. The Production will be performed by the Broad Hollow Players and a reception featuring desserts and raffles will follow. Call (516) 536-5674.

Village Art Club to open its first 2001 program with critiques by artist Joseph Occhipinti, who is accomplished in both watercolor and oil mediums. The artist and instructor will offer individual critiques and advice to residents who bring in their works to the Rockville Centre Library, 221 North Village Avenue. Free admission.

Opera with Bernie Mann will cover "I Puritani" the last of Bellini's bel canto operas. The setting is in 1650's England during the civil war between the Puritans and the Cavaliers.

Quilting exhibition featuring the works of Wendy Struwasser, President of the Long Island Quilter's Society. One of her quilts will be featured in a quilting book this Spring.

Photographs by Lynn David Nathanson will be showcased by the Rockville Centre Public Library from Dec. 8 through January. Ms. Nathanson's award-winning photographs will be displayed downstairs in the library.
