Holiday Show
The LB Recreation Department's annual Holiday Show will take place this year on Saturday, December 16 at Lindell School. Doors open at 10:30 AM and Sparkles the Clown will greet the kids with balloons and face-painting. There will be musical performances and gifts from Santa. $2 per child tickets can be purchased at the Rec Center or at the door.
Lions Party
The Long Beach Lions Club will holds its holiday party at the Coyote Grille in Island Park, on Tuesday, December 19, 7 PM. Tickets are $30 per person. For information, call Anne Snow at 431-7897.
Chanukah Celebration

Disabled adults support. The St. Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center Auxiliary sponsors a monthly support group for men and women who are physically disabled. The support group meets on the second Thursday of each month, from 1-2:30 P.M., at the St. Charles Rehabilitation Network office at 201. I.U. Willets Road, Albertson. Bereavement Support Group. On Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:30 P.M. in Conference Room C at Long Beach Medical Center. The Medical Center's Counseling Center will offer a weekly bereavement support group for individuals dealing with the death of a family member or loved one. COMPEER volunteers sought. Friendship is powerful medicine when you're isolated and recovering from mental illness. COMPEER volunteers have fun and spend a rewarding hour with a new friend. Long Beach Auxiliary Police. A recruitment drive for the Auxiliary Police is currently underway. Since 1940, The Long Beach Auxiliary Police have assisted the regular police department, serving as extra eyes and ears on the Long Beach streets and helping with traffic and crowd control during local emergencies and special events.
