Acts II Coffee House.On the first and third Saturday of every month, enjoy contemporary Christian music at the garden level of the Church of the Nazarene, 124 Garfield Avenue at Ocean Avenue in East Rockaway. Acts II, funded by donations and run by volunteers, offers coffee, teas, and gourmet desserts in a smokeless, non-alcoholic environment. Call 599-3116 for more information.

Widowed Persons Service

The A.A.R.P is looking for volunteers to serve on a steering committee in western Nassau County. A group of interested widowed people and agencies is meeting to assist the newly widowed in their grief and to support them in rebuilding their lives with the help of the A.A.R.P. Defensive Driving Course.

Lynbrook residents over age 50 interested in taking the A.A.R.P. 55/Alive course may put their names on a waiting list at the Lynbrook Library's reference desk.
