Marriage seminar at the Vineyard Church, 251 Merrick Road in RVC. "Building a Marriage that Lasts" is a practical seminar of hope and healing for husbands and wives with Don and Nancy Anderson.Topics include: renewing your visions; keys to deeper unity; and dealing with fear and hurt, among others. $25 for individuals $25; $35 for married couples.

Fall Festival hosted by the St. Agnes Mothers' Club Garden Potpourri will be held at 25 Canterbury Road. The day starts with bagels and coffee for early shoppers. A large array of pumpkins, Indian corn, corn stalks, bales of hay, holiday crafts and baked goods for sale.

Duck race and fall festival, sponsored by the RVC Lions Club, will be held at Centennial Park. Activities will include amusement rides, face painting, craft vendors, pumpkin painting, petting zoo, hay ride, food, prizes and more!

Halloween window painting contest for boys and girls in grades 4-8. Halloween themes will be painted on paper that is taped to store windows throughout Rockville Centre. Plaques will be awarded for the best paintings. Register at the Rec Center BEFORE October 13. In case of rain, the contest will be held indoors, at the Rec Center.

Art Exhibition.The artwork of Adele Kraetz, a former Sandel staff member. Ms. Kraetz' body of work is largely figurative and has appeared in a number of juried art shows. She has been awarded several prize ribbons.

Lecture series hosted by art history professor, Dr. Salli Zimmerman. This 3-part series will discuss the roots of emotional abstraction in the late 19th century, concentrating on Van Gogh and Gaugin, among others.
