Reading Club Parties. The library is hosting three parties for children participating in reading clubs. Preschoolers to second graders are invited to attend a "Bubbles" party on Friday, August 18 at 2 P.M. The "Spirit of Invention" workshop for children in grades 3-6 is the Discover 2000 Reading Club party to be held on Friday, August 18 at 11 A.M. Both programs will be presented by the Long Island Children's Museum. A "Make Your Own Pizza" party for young adults in the Summer Reading Club will be held on Tuesday, August 29 at 4 P.M. Teens will make the pizza at the library and bring it home for baking. Following the pizza party, there will be raffles, prizes, goody bags, and more.
Movies for juniors and young adults are scheduled on Wednesdays at 7:30 P.M. through the month of August. "How to be a Perfect Person in Three Days," is the feature presentation for August 16. and "The Lone Star Kid," is scheduled for August 30.
