Cops: Kids left aloneNorth V.S. woman accused of leaving three children unattended

Shanta Subdhan, 45, of 759 Wyngate Drive West, who operates a day care service from that location, was arrested at her home after the mother of one of the three children called police.
According to police, Subdhan allegedly left the children - ages 22 months, three years and six years - alone for about a half hour while she picked up a fourth child from the Wheeler Avenue School. Police say the mother of the 22-month-old discovered that the children were left alone when she arrived at Subdhan's house to pick up her child, who was found sitting in a high chair, early.
Subdhan has been charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
