Four arrested for theft
According to Fourth Precinct detectives, at around 1:40 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call to the CVS Pharmacy parking lot at 1220 Peninsula Blvd. for of a theft from a car. When officers arrived at the scene, they were given the description of the suspects' vehicle — a 1991 Honda Accord —which had just left the scene. Officers found and stopped the car on Franklin Avenue at West Broadway in Hewlett and arrested all four occupants without incident.
After an investigation by fourth squad detectives, the defendants were linked to three additional thefts from cars. One occurred earlier in the day in Lynbrook, one on Oct. 30 in New Hyde Park, and one on Oct. 6 in Manhasset.
Joubert J. Cadet, 32; Ronnie R. Steadman Jr., 22; and Messiah G. Ingram, 22, all of Jamaica, Queens, were charged with three counts of third-degree grand larceny, three counts of third-degree criminal mischief and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. John I. Draper, 32, of Far Rockaway was charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny, two counts of third-degree criminal mischief and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. All four defendants were arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on Nov. 14.

Police seek woman driver
When three 10-year-old girls were playing in front of a Sherman Avenue, Lynbrook residence at around 11 a.m. on Nov. 12, a woman in a purple and blue, four-door Honda pulled over and told one of the girls that she should get in her car because her mother wanted her home, according to Lynbrook police. The three girls ran inside the house and the police were called. Police said they gave all the information to the county's lead development center and no suspects have been identified.

Arrests

On Nov. 12 at 10:53 a.m. Michael Nystrom, 46, of Oceanside and Alan Nystrom, 21, of Oceanside was arrested for assault on Eldert Street in Lynbrook.

On Nov. 17 at 1:40 p.m. Michael Small, 27, of Mineola was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana on Calvin Street in Lynbrook.

On Nov. 11, Qui-hong Shen, 53, of Flushing, Queens was arrested at 148 Union Ave., Lynbrook, for selling cigarettes to a 17 year old.


Theft of property, cash

On Nov. 13 at 9:30 a.m., a 68-year-old Valley Stream was at the Citibank at 320 Merrick Road when he left an envelope with $340 in it on the counter and walked away. When he returned, the envelope was gone.

On Nov. 13 at 12:40 p.m., a car parked in the underground parking lot in Philips Plaza was broken into and cash, a cellphone and checks were stolen.

On Nov. 13 at 6 p.m., Davidson's Boat Yard at 5 Atlantic Avenue in East Rockaway was broken into and assorted tolls and an air compressor were stolen.
