Jose L. Carrasco, 30, of Brentwood, was arrested on Jan. 27 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and vehicle traffic law violations after police say they saw him driving on Sunrise Highway.
Geovanny Alexander Ospina, 31, of Valley Stream, was arrested on Jan. 26 and charged with unlicensed operation after police say they watched him driving a car at a Merrick Road health club where he is a parking attendant.
Sendell J. Garrett, 29, of Mahland Place, Oceanside, arrested on Jan. 27 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and a parking violation following an investigation that took place on N. Long Beach Road. A village police officer received a left knee injury when he and two fellow officers attempted to arrest Garrett.
Christian Yaffar, 22, of Burtis Avenue was arrested on Jan. 30 and charged with assault, harassment and resisting arrest following a disturbance at his residence.
Matthew L. Buscaglia, 17, of Windsor Avenue was arrested on Jan. 30 and charged with assault following a disturbance at his home.
Larcenies
On Jan. 25, a woman from Freeport reported to police that the passenger window of her vehicle was damaged while it was parked in front of a Sunrise Highway restaurant, and her laptop was taken. without permission.
On Jan. 27 a Tarence Street resident told police that someone used his credit card information to purchase $1,812.64 in merchandise without his permission.
On Jan. 30 a Marvin Avenue resident told police that a GPS device was taken without permission from her car while it was parked in her driveway.
