Arrests

n Three juveniles from Long Beach were arrested at Kohl’s, 3600 Long Beach Rd. in Oceanside, on May 1. According to detectives, the three attempted to shoplift clothing from the store by wearing some of the items and putting the rest in their bags.

n Christopher Keller, 33, of Holtsville, NY, was arrested at Courtesy Bus Company, 107 Lawson Boulevard in Oceanside, on May 1. He was charged with larceny and trespassing. According to detectives, Keller entered the parking lot of the business and began to load his truck with rims and auto parts.

n Jhojan Macario, 19 of Island Park, was arrested on Warwick Road in Island Park on April 28 on a Nassau County bench warrant due to bail jumping and vehicle and traffic violations.

n Christopher Taylor, 33 of Oceanside, was arrested on April 28 on Court Street in Oceanside on an open Nassau County bench warrant.

n Margarita Alamina, 28 of Island Park, was arrested on April 28 on Newport Road in Island Park on a Nassau County bench warrant due to bail jumping, unlicensed operation of a vehicle and driving while impaired.

Assault

n A 15-year-old was approached by one known and one unknown male suspect at Taco Bell, 3076 Long Beach Rd. in Oceanside, on April 30. The unknown male punched and pushed the victim, causing swelling around his eye.

Forgery

n The store pharmacist at CVS, 70 Atlantic Ave. in Oceanside, reported on April 1 that an unknown person presented four forged prescriptions for Fioricet on four separate dates, filled for four different doctors.

Larceny

n A 2005 Dodge parked in front of a house on Atlantic Avenue in Oceanside was taken on April 30.

n Store security at Kohl’s, 3600 Long Beach Rd. in Oceanside, responded to a door alarm and found the rear door open. Surveillance video showed an unknown man taking a Dyson vacuum cleaner.

n A landscaper reported that a grass trimmer and blower were removed from his unlocked trailer on Mount Avenue in Oceanside on May 1.

n A 16-year-old lost a gold necklace and a cell phone during an altercation at Taco Bell, 3076 Long Beach Rd. in Oceanside, on April 30.

n Someone removed three hubcaps from a 2007 Toyota parked on Waukena Avenue in Oceanside on May 1.

n Various personal papers, including a Social Security card and a driver’s license, were taken from a 2000 Nissan parked at Sacred Heart Church, 282 Long Beach Rd. in Island Park, on May 1.
