Arrests
Antwuan Leazer, 20 of Hempstead, was arrested on Austin Boulevard in Island Park and charged with leaving the scene of an accident on May 21. According to police, Leazer rear-ended a car and then fled the scene.
Ramel Curry, 22 of Hempstead, was arrested on Waukena Avenue in Oceanside on May 23 on a Nassau County Family Court warrant.
Criminal Mischief
Someone entered the life guard shack at the Masone Beach, 150 Waterford Road in Island Park, and scrawled graffiti on the interior on April 16.
DWI
Elija Williams, 22 of Valley Stream, was arrested on Long Beach Road in Oceanside and charged with driving while intoxicated on May 21.
Waldo Guevara, 23 of Baldwin, was arrested on Long Beach Road in Oceanside on charged with driving while intoxicated on May 23. According to police, Guevara was driving his father’s car when he hit another vehicle.
Forgery
TD Bank, 247 Long Beach Road in Oceanside, informed a victim about two unauthorized withdrawals from his account by someone using his social security number on May 19.
Larceny
Someone’s 1985 Cadillac was taken from a locked garage at the Paddy McGees Parking Garage, 6 Waterview Road in Island Park, on May 14.
A 2003 Nissan was taken from Stanton Place in Oceanside on May 16.
Unusual
Two 8-year-old students informed the principal of School 3, 2852 Fortesque Avenue in Oceanside, that a man in his 50s, driving a green Chevrolet van, was slowly circling around the school yard and watching the students during their lunch recess on May 19.
Four children were waved to and invited into a white work van driven by an unknown man at School 3, 2852 Fortesque Avenue in Oceanside, on May 21.
