Patricia Richburg, 26, of Stowe Place, Hempstead, was arrested on July 17 at 9:40 p.m. at Mercy Medical Center, 1000 North Village Ave. She was charged with trespass and disturbing the peace. Police said she refused to comply with numerous requests from hospital staff to leave the Emergency Room and that she caused a disturbance.
Andrew Merchant, 48, of Sycamore Avenue, Hempstead was arrested at 11:50 p.m. on July 18 and charged with possession of stolen property and aggravated unlicensed opertion. Merchant was arrested after he was stopped on North Long Beach Road for driving with a broken windshield. Police subsequently found stolen license plates on his car, and he was driving with a suspended license.
Maurizio Fuduli, 26, of Broadway, Lynbrook, was arrested on July 19 at 11:45 a.m. and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation. Fuduli was arrested after he was stopped on Sunrise Highway for having excessively tinted windows, an obstructed license plate and was found to be driving with a suspended license.
Walter Otero, 33, of Ackley Avenue, Malverne, was arrested on July 21 at 11:40 p.m. and charged with speeding, reckless driving and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Otero was stopped after police observed him travelliing east on Sunrise Highway reaching speeds over 100 m.p.h. in a 40-m.p.h. zone.
Attempted burglary
On July 22 at 1:30 p.m. an employee at Brito Deli, 505 Merrick Road, reported to police that between July 21 at 10 p.m., and the next morning at 9:30, someone tried to get into the store by prying at the locks of the front and rear doors. No entry was made.
