About 150 members of the Sandel Senior Center were treated by Assemblyman Brian Curran to the second annual Spring Luncheon on April 19. Curran discussed state issues affecting seniors before helping to serve up an Italian lunch consisting of pasta, pizza and dessert. Mayor Francis Murray, Deputy Mayor Nancy Howard and Trustee Ed Oppenheimer attended the event.
“The Spring Luncheon at Sandel is one of our most important events of the year,” said Curran in a written statement. “It provides me with the opportunity to directly speak with seniors of Rockville Centre and make them aware of legislation that is being debated in Albany which directly affect them. I cannot thank Mayor Murray, Dr. Cyd and her staff enough for allowing us to hold the event each year.”
