The 24th Annual Dawn Delirium Fashion Show was held on March 12, 2014. The beautifully decorated Oceanside High School Cafeteria was “standing room only” to accommodate the bearers of the over 450 entrance tickets sold for this event. There were 160 student models, 50 male and 110 female, and 9 members of the Oceanside School District Administration who walked the runway wearing prom and post-prom fashions generously provided by Bambino Elegante, Bridal World, David’s Bridal, Estelle’s Dressy Dresses, La Chic Boutique, Next and Snider’s Formalwear. The girls even had the opportunity to have their hair and makeup professionally done compliments of Blowout Couture, Capelli Capelli, Colori Bella Hair Studio, Expressions, Faces & Fragrances by Beverly, Frasada Salon & Day Spa, Hair Expo, Hair Machine, Lisa Bari Make-up Studio, Nial Martin Salon, Perfect Faces by Jessica, Salon Arte, Salon Magique, Salon Montaage and Salon Osio.
There were many chances for the audience to walk away from the event with some great prizes. Over 30 raffle prizes generously donated from local merchants and parents ranging in price from $100.00 to over $500.0, a calendar box chance cash prize of $300, a free prom ticket drawing for one male and one female student, and a $1.00 and $5.00 50/50 were all up for grabs. The winner of the $5.00 50/50, Nick Carlisi, generously donated his winnings back to Dawn Delirium.
The over $8,000.00 generated from this wonderful night helps fund Dawn Delirium, the drug and alcohol free post prom party held at Warehouse 5 in Island Park immediately following the prom.
