Mayoral and trustee candidates on the ballot for the June 21 village election will participate in a public forum and debate on Wednseday, June 8, at the Sandel Senior Center.
The debate, which starts at 7 p.m. and is expected to run between two and three hours, will feature an assigned moderator who will ask questions to six of the seven candidates — Michael Leboff, who is running as an independent candidate for mayor, said he had a prior obligation and was not planning to attend.
The format of the debate will be similar to presidential debates, as candidates will stand behind a lectern and answer various questions within a certain number of minutes.
The debate will include two mayoral candidates: Mayor Mary Bossart and RVC United Party candidate Francis Murray. The four trustee candidates expected to attend include David Krasula and Michelle Sewell of the Concerned Citizens Party, and Nancy Howard and Michael Sepe of the RVC United Party.
