at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Malverne. The patches were created by the Catholic Scouting Office in honor of the diocese¹s 50 anniversary. The patches incorporate elements of the anniversary logo and crest as well as the logos for Brownies, Cub, Boy and Girl Scouts. The young girls, who are in grades ranging from first through 12, earned the diocesan patch for advancing in rank, attending retreats, their volunteerism, among other achievements.
