Imagination meets reality in this on-ice narrative about seven inspiring dreams coming true. ³It¹s an appealing show that¹s all about wishes and believing,² said Performance Director Gig Siruno.
³Believing is the first step,² is the motto of this production, helped in part by that beloved Disney character, Tinkerbell, who weaves her special magic throughout the production, as she guides the princesses through their journey.
The audience will be carried away on a trail of pixie dust as they venture under the sea to unlock Ariel¹s secret wish and through the celebrated stories of Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, and Mulan.
Each tale is offers a lesson in believing, perseverance and triumph, as the familiar, heartwarming sagas of these princesses unfold. The audience will see Jasmine looking for adventure and a new world; Ariel seeking to be part of the world above; Snow White in the forest; Mulan looking to be with her hero as she seeks to make her way in a man¹s world; Cinderella at the ball with Prince Charming, along with Belle and Sleeping Beauty.
In all, an international cast of 39 skaters shares the stories of these princesses and their wishes. ³The show features great skating, familiar music, and the timeless appeal of these princesses,² Siruno said.
More than just a retelling of these familiar tales, it¹s the skating that is the draw of this production. ³What I like about this show is how athletic it is,² Siruno said. ³It adds an extra dimension to these stories.
And, Siruno noted, it broadens the show¹s appeal. ³It¹s not just for girls, there are lot of action-packed numbers that the boys can grab onto.²
This being a Disney show, you can be sure there will be plenty of special effects, and audience participation, especially with Ariel, under the sea.
³It¹s one of my favorite shows,² Siruno said. ³It never gets old. Everyday is something new. It¹s great to have the excitement from the cast who are enjoying the performance and watch the audience get involved in the stories we tell. We hear the kids sing along to each song.²
