Valley Stream Union Free School District 13 held its annual Multicultural Night, drawing students, families, staff and community members together for an evening focused on the district’s diversity.
The event featured cultural traditions, foods, music and student performances representing the backgrounds within the district. Classrooms and student clubs created interactive exhibits that highlighted different countries and cultural heritages, allowing attendees to move through displays designed to reflect communities from around the world.
Student performances included traditional dances and music, while cultural booths presented artifacts, art, clothing and geographic information from various nations. Families contributed international cuisine, and participants engaged in hands-on activities such as crafts, language demonstrations and cultural storytelling.
District officials expressed appreciation to the volunteers, staff and families whose involvement supported the event and contributed to its success.
