Dr. Ann Zievers Branchini has been appointed the new Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty at Molloy College.
Branchini comes to Molloy with a wealth of experience. With nearly 30 years of experience in higher education, Branchini comes to Molloy following 13 years as academic dean and chief academic officer at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich, Conn.
In her academic leadership role, she has extensive experience in academic program assessment, curriculum and instruction, and in building relevant and engaged academic programs that prepare graduates for the skills and knowledge needed for a 21st century workforce. With a career that has spanned both healthcare and higher education, Branchini is well versed in the issues that impact these dynamic enterprises.
Branchini received her B.S. in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, her M.S. in Nursing from Marquette University, and a Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of Connecticut. She held a variety of clinical nursing positions in Wisconsin, Maryland and Connecticut before beginning her career in higher education. She obtained a certificate in Higher Education Leadership from Harvard University, and has served in local, statewide and regional leadership roles for the Connecticut Community College system, the Connecticut State College and University system, New England Association of Schools and Colleges, and most recently, as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Visiting Nurses of Southeastern Connecticut.
