Dream big in Rockville Centre— read!

On Nov. 18, St. Agnes Cathedral School held its 12th annual Community Readers’ Day. This year’s theme, “Dream Big…. READ,” gathered many of Rockville Centre’s finest to read to the students.

The school’s co-principals, Sister Kathleen Carlin and Helen Newman, welcomed the honored guests of the Rockville Centre community. Readers included village administrators, trustees and justices, the police commissioner, volunteer firemen, Rockville Centre librarians, Molloy College professors, representatives from Mercy Medical Center and South Nassau Communities Hospital as well as Monsignor William Koenig and Rev. Adrian McHugh from St. Agnes Cathedral Parish.

This annual event is sponsored by the St. Agnes Home/School Association. The association’s co-presidents are Joanne Peacock and Danielle Chesney. Catherine Casella and Barbara Cahill co-chaired the event this year.
