The program featured the police department¹s Explorers, who fingerprinted children and distributed child safety kits to parents. In addition, educational literature on child safety, personal and property safety, Internet safety and drug prevention were also made available.
The 1st and 3rd precincts¹ Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) units were also on hand to answers questions about public safety. A question-and-answer period followed, which concluded with a candle lighting ceremony.
Light refreshments were made available for adults, while children enjoyed ices, popcorn, cotton candy, balloon animals and a magic show by ³Scott the Great.²
