The East Rockaway Fire Department, in conjunction National Fire Prevention Week, will be hosting its annual Fire Prevention Expo on Friday, Oct. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Grant Avenue Firehouse (behind St. Raymond’s School) in East Rockaway. There will be fire safety demos, smoke and carbon monoxide information, the Tot Finder program, fire truck rides, East Rockaway Auxiliary Police info. Meet your fire chiefs, and EMTs; Win a smoke detector or fire extinguisher. Open to residents of all ages.
As the department says, “It’s better if you come to us rather than us come to you!”
