The Village of East Rockaway held its annual Stars & Stripes Festival last weekend, from Friday evening through late Sunday.
Although the daytime hours were sweltering because of a heat wave that hit the area, residents still enjoyed the rides, games, and good food offered by the Fishery and Wardon’s Deli, and other vendors. Local bands, dance studios, gymnastic groups and martial arts experts wowed the crowd. Tables were set up by local organizations, offering information to the public.
On Saturday evening, hundreds of people gathered at the waterfront for a dazzling fireworks display.
Master Collision and Lynbrook Restorative Therapy and Nursing were major sponsors of the event.
