Rockville Centre resident Elizabeth Anne Krol, 64, dies

Elizabeth Anne Krol, of Rockville Centre, died on March 9. She was 64.

She was born to Joseph LaFlare and Mary Jewel Dickinson on Nov. 19, 1956 in Rockville Centre. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1974 and received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in 1978.

Krol lived in Rockville Centre since 1984, where she raised three children. She was an accomplished cook and baker and ran a catering company with her predeceased best friend, Paula Geremia.

Krol was a staple in the community, serving as library board president for ten years and being involved in many community events, whether it was school functions for St. Agnes or the Recreation Center.

She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life and brought her much joy.

Krol is survived by three children, John Paul, Justin and Mary Kathleen; her sisters, Mary Ellen and Patricia; and her brother, Joseph. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Lily Ava Krol and Caleb Ridley Krol.
