The final opportunity to register for the Spartans Youth Sports Camp, to take place on consecutive weeks in July, is being held Monday, July 2 in the Elmont High School gym from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Registration is open to students (boys and girls) entering grades 1-8 for a low fee of $100 and includes a T-shirt and prizes. The camp is directed by district coaches Jay Hegi, Pat Corvetti and Kru Patel. Camp sessions will run from July 16-19 and July 23-26, with time slots reserved each day for work on football, basketball, baseball/softball, soccer skills, and more. Campers are grouped by grade level.
