During that time, there has been a waterfront revitalization, improvements to the John Street Complex and revitalization of commercial areas. He was also the drafter of the sex offender law. As mayor, he hopes to enhance the business district, complete improvements to the John Street Complex, and pursue the illegal apartment issue. He also wants to provide residents with the best services possible while keeping our tax burden in check.
      Sieban is an attorney in private practice, and the Chief of Staff and Counsel to the Hempstead Town Board, as well as an adjunct assistant Professor at St. John's University. He is married to Thea, and they have four children: Teddy, 12, Thea 10, Elizabeth, 9, and Thomas, 7.

Richard Meagher, Pride Party trustee candidate
      Richard Meagher, 68, is completing my twelfth year as village trustee and fourth year as deputy mayor, having served under three mayors. He worked for 31 years at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, and retired in 1994 with the title of Emeritus Dean for Continuing Education have a B.A. and M.A. in English from Long Island University and an Ed.D. He is the board liaison to The East Rockaway Public Library, the school district, Auxiliary Police and Emergency Management. He recently became President of the Village's newest charitable organization, the Village Foundation of East Rockaway, Inc. He believes that any accomplishments should be credited to the entire board, but he is most proud of the redevelopment of the waterfront and the creation and recent strengthening of our LOSAP Program for the Fire Department. He looks forward to strengthening and expanding the village's recreation programs and facilities of youth; reinvigorate the business community, and to create more public parking to meet their needs. Meagher is a widower and has four children: John, 36, Richard Jr., 35, Gail, 32, and Heather, 28.

Francis T. Lenahan, Pride Party trustee candidate
      Francis T. Lenahan is the President of the Village Pride Party, which was was created in September of 2003 by Lenahan and a group of individuals
who wanted to focus on working within the framework of assisting local officials, and would concentrate on quality of life issues of major concern to our residents. He was elected its president at it inception, and every election since.
       He has been working in law enforcement for over 30 years. He is a 38-year active member of the East Rockaway Fire Department, having served as a captain and President of its Fire Corporation.
      He believes he will be an asset to the board because he will bring his own type of energy, ideas, experience and determination to the board, and will work effectively with the other board members. He says he will listen to the needs of the residents, and make qualified decisions to find solutions.
      Lenahan is married to Rosemary. They have two daughters, Rachel and Melissa, a son Sean, and four grandchildren.
