ERHS students come in 3rd place in Island Harvest food drive

East Rockaway Jr/Sr High School students came in third place in Nassau County in the Long Island Harvest Students Feeding Students Food Drive Competition in the Fall. East Rockaway’s SADD sponsored the food drive, which was kicked off at the Homecoming Game in September and ran until Oct.25.

The SADD students from East Rockaway will be attending the Island Harvest celebration for the top three schools (with Valley Stream North and New Hyde Park) on Feb.9 at one of Island Harvest’s locations.

“We are so proud of our students who participated in this worthwhile competition,” said East Rockaway High School Social Worker Kristen Mednick-Kosloff, “and [we are] proud to represent the East Rockaway community in such a positive way.
