Rockville Centre Historical Society
The Museum of the Village of Rockville Centre invites residents to visit and enjoy the historic Phillips House restoration, resplendently decorated for the season in a Victorian motif, at 28 Hempstead Ave. Hours are Saturday and Sunday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and also by appointment for groups. (516) 764-7459. In honor of Black History Month, starting on Feb. 6 and running through April 17, the museum will exhibit a selection of African American Dolls from the collection of local Freeport artist April Marius. She will be available on opening day to discuss her dolls and doll collecting.
Newcomers Club

Lunch and chocolate tasting event
On Feb 12, from 1 - 4 p.m., the LI/NYC Metro Area Young Widow/ers is holding Lunch and Chocolate Tasting Event. The cost is $10 cash + min. $10 food/beverage order. Chase away the pre-Valentine's blues by sampling special, delicious chocolates that are good for you, while mingling with other young widows and widowers.
