Kayak Outing
On Hempstead Lake at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon on June 23 at Hempstead Lake State Park's Eagle Avenue entrance. Three 45-minute sessions. Fees are $30 for a double kayak; $20 for a single (for which you must be 18 or older); $5 if you bring your own kayak. Life vests included. There is an $8 New York State Park parking fee. "Scenic Routes" art exhibit
at Molloy College
The Frank and Gertrude Kaiser Art Gallery at Molloy College will exhibit the work of 10 artists in a exhibition titled "Scenic Routes." The exhibition, which will run through July 26, is part of a project that has its roots in the mentoring of artists. Gallery hours in June are Monday through Friday from 10-6 and Saturday from 10-5, and in July, Monday through Thursday from 10-6 and Saturday from 10-5. Tree of Life Yoga
Central Synagogue of Nassau County, 430 DeMott Ave. will again sponsor a summer mini session, with evening classes of yoga open to students of all levels. The Tree of Life Yoga will consist of a series of five classes, beginning on Tuesday evening, July 10, at 6 p.m. The series is available for $60 or you may pay as you go, for $15 a class. Nassau Veterans Resource Center
Help for veterans and returning servicemen and women in filing claims, getting whatever federal, state and local benefits are due them, finding jobs. Also collecting all forms of clothing and toiletries for homeless veterans and the men and women still serving overseas.
