"Hollywood Comes Home" is the theme of this year's show. "It couldn't be better suited for fun-loving families who want to entertain and be entertained," said show manager Karen Marconi. "Not only can you gain countless ideas for turning your home into a 21st century entertainment oasis, but the exhibitors are the real stars."Some 200 exhibitors will be on hand. Attendees can shop, compare prices and products and save on products and services related to home improvement, decorating, and renovating. Local and nationally recognized experts will offer a wide range of informational and how-to sessions. The show features many programs and events, including the Ultimate Poker Room, with a "celebrity" poker tournament for charity. Another special first-time feature, "Home Fashions on the Runway," presents runway models with the latest, innovative products for the home, directly to visitors. Some the products making their debut include: East Grandview's Needle Painting on Silk, Soda Club USA's countertop Penguin fresh sparkling water and soda machine, Diamond Filter's drinking water filtration system, and Photo Creative Touch's custom vertical blinds and shades that place favorite photos directly on blinds.If you're ready to take your weekly card game to the next level, check out the Ultimate Poker Room. Designed by HGTV regular Mindy Greenberg, the room provides the venue for the Home Expo-sponsored three poker tournament. Watch local television radio and sports personalities compete with local qualifiers in a Texas Hold 'Em elimination tournament for favorite charities."Home fashions, new products and celebrity poker are only part of the action," Marconi said. Long Island horticulturalist/author Vincent Simeone presents information and tips on fall and winter gardening and landscaping. He will sign copies of his books, "The Wonders of the Winter Landscape and Great Flowering Landscape Shrubs."
