Expansion begins for Pop's Wine

Demolition began on March 2. Soon it will occupy two storefronts and offer thousands of new products.

After months of preparation and waiting, Pop's Wine and Spirits of Island Park finally began its expansion on March 2.

The process began in 2008 when Pop's owner Nick Poulos purchased the vacant store adjacent to his. He had always planned to tear down that building to expand his own, which he said was starting to feel cramped.

By expanding the store, Pop's will be able to offer more variety and stock new items — about 3,000 to 4,000 more.
