      The doctor, who did not wish to be identified, was one of more than 300 employees laid off just after the start of the new year at Nassau Health Care Corporation, which includes Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, several clinics and the A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility.
      The doctor, like many other employees, came to the CSEA office on the medical center's second floor seeking guidance about her next step and information about what had just happened to her.
