The Hispanic Brotherhood of Rockville Centre hosted its 27th annual Scholarship Dinner on May 3 at Congregation B’nai Sholom-Beth David, 100 Hempstead Ave. The dinner supported the Brotherhood’s After School Tutorial Program. Honorees included United Health Care Regional Plan Manager Angelo Zuffante, local Allstate insurance agent Julia Gazzio and Dr. Juan Luis Ledon. The not-for-profit agency was established in 1984 by a small group of Hispanic residents in an effort to assist the fast-growing population of immigrants from different Spanish-language cultures.
