Former Rockville Centre resident announces engagement

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nussear of Clearwater, Florida, are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emilie Nussear, to Kevin Connors, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Connors, of Rockville Centre.

The future groom, a former Rockville Centre resident, was an All County basketball player at South Side High School. Connors went on to Ithaca College where he continued his basketball career and graduated from the Park School of Communications. Kevin now works at ESPN as a sports anchor and a host of SportsCenter.

The future bride is originally from Clearwater, Florida, and is a former member of the United States Figure Skating Team in Ice Dancing.

Nussear is a graduate of the University of Hartford with a degree in communications and currently coaches at the International Skating Center of Connecticut in Simsbury.

The two met at the University of Hartford in September 2010 and currently reside in Newington, CT with their dog Chanel.

The happy couple has set a date in May 2013 for their joyful wedding celebration.
