Tickets are now available for the Sandel Senior Center’s annual Monte Carlo night, the major fundraiser for Friends of Senior Services, Inc., FOSSI, a not-for-profit community group that supports the Rockville Centre Department of Senior Services.
Members of the community are invited to participate in the elegant and fun-filled event as the Sandel Center is transformed into a glittering casino for the evening, complete with professional dealers, wheel spinners and croupiers, a variety of exciting games, lots of “betting” action, a dinner buffet provided by Maple Pointe Assisted Living and an open bar sponsored by Links Realty Group and South Nassau Communities Hospital. Many other local businesses, professionals and community organizations are contributing sponsorships and prizes.
The fun begins at 7:30 p.m. on April 28 and the $60 per person tickets are tax-deductible.
The 2012 Monte Carlo Night honoree is Joseph Quagliata, president and CEO of South Nassau Communities Hospital. Quagliata, who serves on numerous boards, has been the recipient of many prestigious awards and recognitions for his tireless work in the healthcare industry that has enriched the many lives.
Funds raised over the years by FOSSI support the village’s programs and services for seniors. Past Monte Carlo fundraisers have made possible the purchase of a handicap-accessible bus, the construction of new bathroom facilities and interior safety upgrades at the center, as well as the development of its garden park.
For tickets to the Monte Carlo Night, send checks, made payable to FOSSI, to Friends of Senior Services, Inc., 50 South Park Avenue, Rockville Centre, NY 11570, Attn: Monte Carlo Night. For more information, or to pay by credit card, call (516) 678-9350.
