Four individuals were recently arrested for violently robbing Elmont Deli customers on July 31.

According to Nassau County police, a 20-year-old male and a 19-year-old female victim left the deli on Linden Boulevard around 3:30 a.m. that day and proceeded to get into their car on 237th Street when two male suspects opened their driver’s side door. Police said the suspects demanded the male victim’s property, but he did not comply so one of the male suspects climbed into the rear seat of the vehicle and proceeded to choke the victim. The suspects then allegedly stole an unknown amount of money and fled westbound in a blue colored vehicle with two additional suspects sitting in the front seats.

Police proceeded to conduct a thorough investigation, and arrested 18-year-old Tianna Reid, 24-year-old Jahvon Thompson and 20-year-old Taishawn Blanton, all from Queens, and 20-year-old Leann Home, of Levittown.

Horne was charged with second-degree robbery and has already been arraigned. Thompson, Reid and Blanton are charged with first-degree robbery and fourth-degree conspiracy. Reid and Blanton also faced additional robbery charges. They were scheduled to be arraigned on Aug. 13 at the First District Court in Hempstead.
