Friendly rivals in Rockville Centre

In what has become an annual rite of fall, South Side Middle School’s soccer team took on St. Agnes Cathedral School at Tighe Field on Nov. 2. South Side won 3-0. Ryan Prendergast scored a pair of goals for South Side and Dan Rosenberger added one. Competitively, both teams matched up well. Members had been looking forward to the annual game, so the level of play was intense. The rivalry was intensified by the fact that many of the boys are friends and play for St. Agnes. South Side Coach Bob Baulch said this year’s game was especially exciting for him because his nephew, Jack Zullo, plays for St. Agnes. Several members of his family attended.
