Giving Back

Posted
After having a conversation about dinner, which became an arguement over who wanted mac and cheese and who didnt, i explained to my girls I was making only one meal and whatever it is, they should just be happy with it. some people dont have that choice. i decided to show them what a food pantry is. Once i showed it to them, My daughters Chloe (7), Jayda (3), and my nieces Olivia (10) & Emma (9) Morris held a food can drive at their camp, (Camp Barrett of Valley Stream) and collected about 100 canned goods. They donated them to the Food Pantry at the House of Hope. They also collected gently used clothes. The House of Hope is a place where those in need can go to for food and clothing. The girls felt great about giving back to the community and were happy to do it!
