Five Towns Community Chest fair continues on Monday

Woodmere-based Community Chest is a not-for-profit organization created in 1931. Its mission calls for supporting various services and agencies within the community that help people improve their lives. In pursuing this goal, their volunteers work to fund local agencies that provide child care, mental health services, senior citizen services, after-school programs and counseling services.
Event proceeds benefit local organizations and agencies such as the Five Towns Early Learning Center in Inwood, the Five Towns Community Center in Lawrence, Peninsula Counseling Center in Valley Stream, Tempo Group, Inc. in Woodmere; the Center for Adult Life Enrichment in Hewlett, the JCC of The Greater Five Towns Food Pantry, also in Woodmere; Kulanu Center for Special Services in Cedarhurst, Hatzalah Ambulance, SIBSPlace in Hewlett and the Red Cross.
Fair sponsors include the Nassau Herald, TD Bank, Maidenbaum Tax Reduction Group, the Sklar-Bodner Family and more than 100 local businesses and professionals.
