All New Yorkers will be required to wear masks in public spaces going forward, according to a new executive order issued by Governor Cuomo at his daily briefing Wednesday.
The new order will take effect in three days.
Cuomo said people would not have to wear masks if they were walking alone on a street, but if they reached a busy intersection with other people at the corner, they would. And, he noted, they would have to wear a mask on public transportation.
