Lynbrook Diner

The Lynbrook Diner held its grand reopening ceremony last Saturday, attended by local, town and state dignitaries, Chamber of Commerce members, and many hungry patrons who welcomed back their favorite eatery with open arms and growling stomachs.
As reported in the Herald last week, the diner reopened on April 16 after a Jan. 13 ceiling fire forced the Lynbrook Diner to close for three months for extensive repairs.
“The food is great, as usual,” said Mayor Bill Hendrick. “We’re glad they’re back.”
Diner proprietor Nick Mavromihalis greeted everyone who came through the door, thanking them for the loyal support before and after the fire. “We are part of the Chamber, part of the community. We are happy to welcome everyone here as they welcome us back.”
“I’m very happy to have Nick back and the diner open again,” said Denise Rogers, president of the Chamber. “They have been a part of this community for a very long time. I’ve missed their hospitality, and I’m happy they are open for business again.”
